I’ve been trying out the New Coleman FyreStorm PCS over the last few weeks, and I have to say it’s a great little stove.
With 3 chrome-plated legs/pan supports the stove is stable and rust resistant, it uses their clever WindBlock™ system to give 360° wind protection to the HyperFlame® burner, allowing you to still heat drinks or food even in blustery conditions.
The 1.3 litre pot has a detachable skirt that helps centre it over the burner whilst also adding more protection from the elements.
It’s easy to use, just attach your gas canister, spread the stove’s legs, place it on a suitable bit of ground, turn on the gas with the fully adjustable tap and then ignite with the Piezo ignition switch, and you’re cooking.
When your food or drink is ready there’s a neoprene sleeve with a handle to hold the pot securely, and pop on the lid to keep food warm, or use the drinking hole to slurp down soups or drinks.
At the end of the day unlock the skirt and screw it onto the top of the pot then you can pack the stove plus your gas cartridge neatly inside, and once the lid is snapped on you know you have your complete cooking outfit all together and ready for your next outing.
The Coleman FyreStorm PCS retails at £64.99, full details here.
